Many companies prefer to put their contents into spreadsheets and send out for translation. Is this a good practice? I really doubt.

Sometimes a cell contains one single word there. For example, how would you translate a single word “with” into Chinese? 

If you really need to use the spreadsheets for localization projects, make sure always put sentences instead of single words in the cells. 

After implementing the translation into your products, an overall checking/polishing is definitely indispensable to ensure the text reads smooth and natural.
